Shannon was born into a Real Estate family in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her parents were both real estate investors, where they purchased 100+ year old homes for renovation turning them into apartment buildings.  They had a family portfolio of properties where Shannon was able to shadow and learn from her parents her whole life.  She learned early on the art of negotiation, what goes into renovations, and how to maintain and manage properties.  As a small child Shannon would admire the Realtors that worked with her parents and she realized early on, this is what she wanted to be when she grew up. 

After attending 12 years of Catholic school, college life began at LSU majoring in Interior Design. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University. Shannon was licensed as a Realtor in 1994 at the young age of 23 in Louisiana specializing in historic homes, rural properties, vacation homes as well as income property.

Shannon’s dad had been stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in 1959, long before she was born. Her parents fell in love with the Central Coast and would make the long journey from New Orleans to their dreamland every chance they could. She realized that “The Central Coast is California’s best kept secret” and when her parents retired there, Shannon and her sons followed in June of 2004, missing the Katrina catastrophe by a little over one year. She considers herself as a part of the Central Coast.

Upon moving to the central coast, she met her love Brad Bowdey along with his three wonderful children. They married in 2009 becoming the "Bowdey Bunch". They enjoy great food, organic gardening, hiking, outdoor activities, travel and wine tasting.

Besides real estate, Shannon's background also includes restaurant and event management. She owned and operated two restaurants, one an Italian Restaurant named La Bella Rosa in Folsom, La. and the second a Cajun Restaurant named Blanchard's Cajun Cookery in Solvang, Ca. She was also the catering event manager at Inn at Morro Bay, Cal Poly University and Hilton Garden Inn, Pismo Beach.Shannon is a highly active Realtor who specializes in relocation, secondary homes, first time home buyers, luxury, rural and beach properties. She served as a board member of the Pismo Coast Association of Realtors Foundation and is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Pismo Beach Five Cities.  Shannon is the President Elect for the Pismo Coast Association of Realtors, 2023.  2019 was a big one for Shannon as she was honored as a Keller Williams Cultural Ambassador at Mega Agent Camp in Austin, TX and recognized as the Pismo Coast Association of Realtors, Realtor, Realtor of the Year.  Shannon goes the extra mile for her clients in finding or selling their home. She loves being a Realtor out of the pure joy of helping her client/friends make their real estate dreams come true.
